Birchbark events is a collaboration of well established outdoor centered organizations. Creating this unity allows us to cater to any outdoor activity, ensuring our clients get the full benefits of spending time in nature. Our ambition is to encourage our clients to build resilience while nourishing the soul, the body and the mind. Birchbark Events is a Dorset based venue permanently located in the exceptional woodland setting of Southover Woods. Situated perfectly less than 15 miles from the inspiring jurassic coast with miles of paths and trails to explore. Our venue is able to give our clients a first class event with awesome facilities. From small and personal Family camping holidays to elite corporate clientele we ensure connection and personal growth in nature is at the core of all our events.

Birchbark Actvities
At Birchbank Events we have created a range of private woodland group activities for a variety of clientelle. From children and families wanting to play, learn, rediscover and reconnet with nature; through to adults boosting their wellbeing or bushcraft skills. Our private group activies include yoga, reiki, bushcraft, foraging, wild cooking, birthday parties and coporate teambuilding.
The Woodland School
Birchbark events has two main areas for activites. The Woodland school hosts all the child and family events and has two camps each with a firepitt, seating area and shelter in the form of a large cargo paracute. The school also has a large woodland kitchen area with running water, a Childrens play area and a composting loo.
Accommodation
Our growing portfolio of accommodation offers something for eveyone. Including well spaced out private Wild camping, with or without unfurnished Bell tents, a Yurt and fully furnished Safari Tents with wood fired hot tubs in the idilic Southover Woods. For those requiring the luxury we have the facility rich Southover House, a large manor house accommodating up to 14 people.
Camping
The 12 wild camping pitches in Southover Woods are enclosed and in completely private woodlands making all pitches safe and secure. Every camping pitch is centered around a fire pit and log seating with a kettle and grill for cooking and coffee, a composting toilets and a campstyle shower. We can add and pitch bell tents to your rental making you camping experience run with ease. Nearby there are luxurious Safari Tents with woodfired hots tubs.
